Garden of Eden

God created the Garden of Eden as a place for the first family.1 This garden was to be their home. It was watered by four rivers which all came from one source in the middle of the garden.

In the middle of the garden there were two special trees, the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.ibid.

The Tree of Life had the power to keep one living forever. That is, it did not give eternal life with one bite. Rather, as long as you continued to eat from it you would never die.2
